BACK STORY of the Creation of this product

Kente' Cloth represents Culture and Heritage for many Black People of the African Diaspora. You can see the print replicated on clothing, jewelry, accessories and furniture. It brings connection for many, gives them a visual statement of Proudness.

I created this product out of a Vision I had of seeing letters in this beautiful print, so I created just that!

You see students wearing Kente' Cloth print around their necks at graduation time; specifically College but why not introduce children to this part of African/Black Culture while they are absorbing information like a sponge.

In early learning, Teachers are taught to diversify the classroom, provide inclusion. You see a few pictures on the wall, you may see 1 or 2 books and then the Month of February.

I wanted to create a line of products that are everyday norm in learning. We use flashcards as our teaching visual aid in Preschool, so I created a visual of black culture so that it sparks curiosity, and normalcy in the learning environment.
